READING....
Read a book to deepen in the areas of teaching in sport, the application of teaching concepts in the area of coaching, as a point to improve and keep moving forward the process of continuous improvement in teaching. For this purpose I will read the book The Coach's Guide to Teaching by Doug Lemov. This book offers a fresh perspective on coaching, emphasizing the crucial role of teaching in developing athletes. Lemov, renowned for his insights on effective teaching practices, extends his expertise from the classroom to the field, court, and beyond. The book is a comprehensive manual for coaches who seek to enhance their ability to instruct, mentor, and inspire their players. It was a recommendation from a colleague, and I plan to start this week with chapter 4 Planning and design.
Reading
a book daily as part of my commitment to improving effective teaching is
crucial because it fosters continuous learning and professional growth. It can help
as educators to new identify and evaluate the current teaching strategies,
create a diverse perspective, and can get innovative ideas that can help me in
my teaching methods. This daily habit not only enriches my knowledge base but
also keeps me updated with the latest educational trends, ultimately leading to
more engaging and effective classroom experiences for their students.
